Last call for Offices and Departments using fax lines
As previously communicated in TU Today and through direct emails, the Office of Technology Services (OTS) is replacing traditional phone line-based fax service with a modern, web-based version. Existing fax numbers won’t change, and faxing can be done directly from a computer. This move to eFax will improve efficiency, increase sustainability and security, and reduce costs. Traditional fax service is not guaranteed after Aug. 31.
Actions required ASAP if you own a fax line
The project team reached out to identified TU fax line owners to migrate fax lines to the new eFax service and to help with the transition.
- If you own a fax line you’ve received a TechHelp email notification of next steps: please read and respond to that email.
- If you are the fax coordinator and haven’t been contacted by now: contact efax@towson.edu.
- If your department no longer needs an existing fax line: contact efax@towson.edu.
Be sure to review your phone bill – you might be paying for services you don’t need.
