Offices and Departments using fax service: contact OTS by Aug. 1

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is replacing traditional phone line-based fax service with a modern, web-based version. Existing fax numbers won’t change, and faxing can be done directly from a computer. This move to eFax will improve efficiency, increase sustainability and security, and reduce costs. Traditional fax service is not guaranteed after Aug. 31. 

Actions required if you own a fax line
The project team is reaching out to identified TU fax line owners to migrate fax lines to the new eFax service and to help with the transition.  

• If you own a fax line you will receive a TechHelp email notification of next steps. Please read and respond to that email by Aug. 1.  
• If you own a fax line and haven’t heard from OTS through TechHelp: contact efax@towson.edu asap.  
• If your department no longer needs an existing fax line: contact efax@towson.edu by Aug. 1. 

Be sure to review your phone bill – you might be paying for services you don’t need.
