Improved account security is on the way for students: Duo MFA rolls out next academic year!

Next academic year, students will get to use Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (Duo MFA). Faculty and staff already use it to protect their NetIDs when accessing TU services.

You probably already use a code to prove you’re you when logging into your personal banking, health and maybe even music apps – TU uses Duo to produce that code when accessing university services.

Don’t worry about details now, just know an improvement is on the way. There will be early opt-in opportunities in the fall, before Duo rolls out in the spring. Keep an eye out for info in your TU email and around campus starting in the fall term. Follow the project and learn more at towson.edu/duoproject.
