Preparing Teacher Candidates to Teach Writing to Multilingual Children

This presentation focuses on two practices for writing instruction that are effective with multilingual learners: modeling strategies and writing conferences. The research examined how teacher candidates implement these practices and how teacher education coursework might influence their abilities to enact the practices effectively with multilingual and bi-dialectal children.
