Announcing two FACET mini-grant programs for faculty!

Faculty: Help TU students to lower their education costs. Apply for a FACET Open Educational Resources (OER) Initiative Mini-Grant.

Students need our help in keeping their education costs low. One way you can contribute is to develop and use Open Educational Resources (OER), teaching and learning materials that have been shared by their creators under open licenses that permit them to be reused, revised, remixed, redistributed, and retained indefinitely at no cost. FACET is pleased to offer mini-grants to faculty for exploration or adoption/adaptation of OER for their classes. In addition to the mini-grants, recipients receive support and mentoring from the TU OER Community of Practice (CoP). Up to six OER awards will be granted.

Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2024.

Faculty: Apply for a FACET Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Mini-Grant.

FACET is proud to continue its mini-grant program to support faculty in introducing and scientifically studying the impact of classroom innovations aimed at improving student success, retention, and/or inclusion. Faculty are encouraged to disseminate their studies in journals that publish Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL). Funds may be used to support costs, including purchasing supplies or subscriptions, paying students to aid in data entry/analysis, and/or stipends for faculty to support the development of the project or activities. Up to 10 SoTL awards will be granted at $500 per award.
