Sometimes called deceptive publishers, are exploitative academic publishers that don’t provide the rigorous quality control that more legitimate publishers do. In this hourlong workshop, we’ll cover ways to determine whether a publisher is predatory, deceptive, and/or low-quality and third-party tools you can use to find more information about any journal you’re curious about. We’ll also discuss predatory conferences and other related issues.  Registration required.
