Summer Research Funding for Data Analysis

Undergraduate students are invited to apply to two new summer research funding opportunities.

The Data Analytics Research Lab (DARL) is offering $1,000 fellowships to all undergraduate students from all colleges and majors at TU to undertake projects that include a substantial amount of data analytics with an expected workload of 65 hours completed in 7-10 weeks. DARL will provide experiential learning opportunities that support and train students for data analysis and modeling toward research projects.

The College of Business and Economics (CBE) is offering six $3,000 summer fellowships to undergraduate students supervised by CBE faculty. The required workload is 180 hours completed over the summer months. CBE faculty mentors will receive a $750 stipend.

Students seeking funding from CBE are also encouraged to apply for the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry Summer Research Award Grants of $5,000. CBE faculty mentored projects who apply for the $5,000 award will automatically be considered for the $3,000 award. Students who receive the $5,000 award may not receive the other awards but can still receive training from DARL. Information on the $5,000 university award is included in the application linked below.

Students supervised by CBE faculty may receive both the CBE and DARL awards. Students supervised by faculty from other colleges may only apply for the DARL award.

To apply for either or both awards please use the application linked here. The application deadline is March 26th.
