Winter Break – Time sheet instructions: Contingent II Non-Exempt Staff

Towson University will be closed for winter break from December 25, 2023 through January 1, 2024.

Staff in departments which observe non-traditional work hours and schedules, or which perform essential functions, should discuss coverage with their supervisors.

Staff in departments which observe non-traditional work hours and schedules, or which perform essential functions, should discuss coverage with their supervisors.

Please review the information below as a guide to completing your time sheet for winter break:

  • You must be in an active, paid status to earn holiday leave.
  • If you perform work on a particular day, record pay code REG and the hours for the day.
  • Use leave code HLCTU on December 25 and 26.
    • If an employee does not normally work on a day in which a holiday falls, the employee will need to remove the hours from that day and leave the day blank.
  • Holiday hours are pro-rated based on an employee’s FTE, not their work schedule.
  • December 27, 28, and 29 – all employees must use accrued annual leave (ALCTU) or remaining accrued holiday leave (HLCTU). If the employee does not have accrued leave, leave without pay (LWOPC) should be recorded.

If you have questions about completing your time sheet, please email finservehelp@towson.edu.
