It’s Grants Season at TU! TUF and TWS Grant Program Now Accepting Applications
It’s Grants Season at TU! We invite you and your colleagues to consider applying for two funding opportunities: the Towson University Foundation (TUF) Grant Program, and/or the Tall-Wiedefeld Society (TWS) Grant Program.
We’re pleased to offer funds to benefit TU students and student facing programming with two exciting grant programs. Funds for both programs were made available from a myriad of donors in FY23 who entrusted the Foundation and TWS leaders to invest in programs which will have the greatest impact on our community, or could innovate a program on campus. We encourage each of you to pass this information along to anyone across your teams, divisions or colleges to consider seeking funding through each of these applications.
Tall-Wiedefeld Society Grant Program:
- Awards are for one year and will range from $1,000 – $5,000. Partial funding for projects will be considered.
- Applications are due by November 3, 2023.
- Grant applications will be accepted for programs which benefit primarily, but not exclusively, the advancement of women.

TUF Grant Program Email Announcement:
- A total of $100,000 is available to be awarded in grants valued up to $25,000. Awards are for the 2024 calendar year.
- Projects should be connected to supporting the achievement of TU’s strategic plan and accomplish one of the following – enhance and expand educational opportunities both in and outside of the classroom; launch a new endeavor to understand and address a campus community need; or underwrite an emerging need at the university.
- Programs with a direct benefit to and engagement of the student community will be given a priority. (Learn more information about the prior grant recipients.)
- Applications are available on the TU Foundation website under the file TU Foundation Grant Application (2024).
- The application deadline is also November 3, 2023, and awards will be announced in mid-December.
