Upcoming Mental Health First Aid Training
Mental Health First Aid is a course that teaches you how to identify and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a crisis. This course is open to all TU faculty, staff and students at no cost in order to support others in crisis and reduce stigma surrounding mental health and substance use problems. The October course will be held in-person in Burdick Hall 153 and require two hours of self-paced pre-work prior to the instructor-led sessions.
The training is scheduled for Friday, October 6th from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Detailed information for the participants will be sent out upon completion of registration from kwhite@towson.edu and from mhfa@echodevelopment.org. Deadline to register is October 2, 2023.
