TU Staff Senate is excited to invite staff to participate in the first ever Staff Appreciation Week, June 12 – June 16! We are #TUProud of our staff employees who lead, assist, teach, and support our students, faculty, visitors, colleagues, and community. Please join us every day of the week to recognize and thank the staff community at TU.
Monday, June 12 – Show Your Love
Kick-off Staff Appreciation Week by sending a Gratitude Gram to a colleague who makes TU a better place. Express your appreciation for all that your staff colleagues do by personalizing a specially-designed Gratitude Grams for a person or people you want to recognize. Email TUSS@towson.edu to request a delivery of printed grams for use in your office, stop by the Information Desk at the Union to pick up printed grams, or access printable versions online at the TUSS website.
Tuesday, June 13 – Food Glorious Food
Buy lunch from the Bandito’s food truck or stop by for a free Kona Ice (with a valid TU staff ID) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on University Avenue between the Towsontown Garage and the College of Liberal Arts. TUSS will deliver goodies to staff members who work the second and third shifts.
Wednesday, June 14 – Faculty & Staff Appreciation Celebration
Meet up with your colleagues for a relaxing and fun-filled afternoon at the Faculty & Staff Appreciation Celebration presented by a committee of campus partners from 3 to 7 p.m. at Tiger Plaza (rain location is the Burdick Hall Gym). The celebration will also feature an ice cream bar to thank and recognize staff volunteers and community members who support Commencement.
Thursday, June 15 – Team Photo Day
Gather your team or department together and let “retired” university photographer Kanji Takeno capture the camaraderie on camera. Bring your favorite props (we’ll have some too) to the staircase between the second and third floor of the University Union between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for team photos free of charge.
Friday, June 16 – Movie Night at Unitas Stadium
Celebrate being a part of the Towson community by attending FREE Movie Night, featuring Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, presented by TU Athletics and Towson University Promotions and Events at Johnny Unitas Stadium at 7 p.m. The first 50 staff members with ID in attendance will get a free Ledo pizza to enjoy during the movie.
