Updates on BGE project

BGE is continuing to upgrade natural gas lines in the communities north and east of TU’s campus. Expect temporary sidewalk closures and one-way traffic in the project areas highlighted below. BGE asks anyone traveling in the area to obey parking signs and flaggers on site.

Traffic Impacts

Crews will be installing gas mains at the following locations this week:

• Burke Avenue from York Road to Normal Terrace
• Linden Place
• Willow Avenue from York Road to Maryland Avenue
• Wilden Drive
• East Chesapeake Avenue from York Road to Virginia Avenue
• West Chesapeake Avenue from Bankers Way to York Road
• East Pennsylvania Avenue from York Road to Virginia Avenue
• Shealy Avenue from York Road to Delaware Avenue
• Delaware Avenue from Shealy Avenue to East Chesapeake Avenue

If any of these locations are along your commute, consider planning an alternate route and/or allow extra time to reach campus.
