Traffic impacts of BGE upgrade project

BGE is continuing to upgrade natural gas pipes and equipment in the communities north and east of TU’s campus. Expect temporary sidewalk closures and one-way traffic in the project areas highlighted below. BGE asks everyone traveling in the area to obey parking signs and flaggers posted in the area.

Traffic Impacts

Crews will be installing gas mains at the following locations this week:

• Burke Ave from York Rd to Normal Terrace
• Linden Pl
• Willow Ave from York Rd to Maryland Ave
• Wilden Dr
• East Chesapeake from York Rd to Virginia Ave
• West Chesapeake from Bankers Way to York Rd
• East Pennsylvania Ave from York Rd to Virginia Ave
• Shealy Ave from York Rd to Delaware Ave
• Delaware Ave from Shealy Ave to East Chesapeake Ave
• Alley from Baltimore Ave to York Rd

Service Crews are scheduled at the following locations:

• Unit block of Allegheny Ave
• 100 block of Allegheny Ave

If any of these locations are along your commute, consider planning an alternate route and/or allow extra time to reach campus.
