Supervisors – Time Sheet Completion Non-Compliance

Recently, we have experienced an increase in staff & faculty not completing their timesheets. All Employees, regardless of position, are required to complete a time sheet each pay period.

Supervisors should open the time sheet for their direct reports each pay period to review for accuracy before approving. This is your opportunity to ensure that any leave used during the pay period has been accurately reported as well as check the hours worked for non-exempt staff.

When approving time sheets, if you are missing a time sheet from a direct report, it means it was not submitted. This should be addressed with the faculty/staff member immediately and their time sheet should be submitted, reviewed, and approved before the payroll deadline.

This notice does not apply to positions that do not use the time keeping system.

The Payroll Department and OHR appreciate your assistance in helping to lower the rate of non-compliance with this important issue.

Sincerely,

Office of Human Resources
