Traffic impacts of BGE upgrade project
BGE is continuing to upgrade natural gas pipes and equipment in the communities north and east of TU’s campus. Expect temporary sidewalk closures and one-way traffic in the project areas highlighted below. BGE asks everyone traveling in the area to obey parking signs and flaggers posted in the area.
Traffic Impacts
Crews will be installing gas mains at the following locations this week:
- West Pennsylvania Ave from Virginia Ave to York Rd
- West Pennsylvania Ave from Washington Ave to York Rd
- Intersection of Willow Ave and York Rd
- Intersection of Burke Ave and Maryland Ave
- 200 block of West Joppa Rd
- 200 block of Allegheny Ave
- 500 block of Baltimore Ave
- 100 Block of West Joppa Rd
- 500 block of Washington Ave
- 100 block of Ware Ave
If any of these locations are along your commute, consider planning an alternate route and/or allow extra time to reach campus.
