The High Impact Practices (HIPs) Community of Practice Meeting

The High Impact Practices (HIPs) Community of Practice Meeting

Monday, May 8 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in University Union room 224 (located along the hallway adjacent to the Career Center). Lunch will be provided, courtesy of FACET.

While “HIPs” practices are prevalent on campus, they can only be identified as HIPs when implemented with attention to quality. As a follow-up to our introductory meeting, this session will provide an interactive platform to take a deeper dive into the eight quality dimensions (Kuh & O’Donnell, 2013) that distinguish HIPs from other engaged or active learning strategies. Join faculty, staff, and administrators as we further explore how the HIPs community (and Towson!) defines “quality” and become part of the campus conversation to better understand how to support one another in this process.
