State Legislative Audit Underway

Representatives from the State Office of Legislative Audits (OLA) recently arrived on campus to begin a comprehensive audit as required by state law every four years. The auditors began on Jan. 11 and will remain on campus for approximately six months to review records and processes. Their review will cover the June 25, 2019 to Jan. 31, 2023 audit period.

Auditors will interview staff, observe operations, review documentation and test processes that fall within the audit period. They may randomly contact department employees to review certain records, including those related to purchasing cards, student financial aid, admission applications, payroll, cash receipts, and Information Systems controls. We appreciate your efforts in working collaboratively with the auditors to strengthen our operations, recognizing they may identify areas of improvement that bring even greater efficiencies going forward.
