Leadership Exploration Academy for Professionals (LEAP) Accepting Applications for 2023 Cohort

Towson University recognizes the importance of continuing education and personal growth to the health and well-being of both the employee and the institution. We encourage all staff in their pursuit of improvement and advancement. The LEAP program is designed to challenge your perceptions of what leadership means and requires self-reflection and commitment to discovery. Participants will also acquire additional knowledge and skills to identify and track career goals. We hope to provide you with the tools you need to be competitive in your future endeavors.

Qualifications for LEAP

To participate in this program, the following qualifications must be met:

  • Be in a Regular position at Towson University
  • Passed probation period of current position
  • Rating of “Meets Expectations” on last performance evaluation
  • Have not received any disciplinary action since last review or during program

Expectations

  • Applicant must have prior approval from the immediate supervisor to participate in the program.
  • Attendance at all sessions is MANDATORY. Graduation from the program is contingent upon missing no more than one session. This program requires a commitment of one day each month February through October, with a graduation session in November. Specific dates will be confirmed with selected participants before the start of the program.
  • Complete all assignments, readings, projects and participate in discussions.

Application Process

The Online Application below should be submitted by January 20, 2023.  Applications will be reviewed by the program development committee.  Selections will be discussed with applicant’s supervisor.   Applicants and their supervisors will be notified of their selection by January 30, 2023.
