“Chatting” During Class: A Tool for Anonymous Live Review & More

When classes were only hosted online, you might have developed some new ways to solicit student responses using your handy Zoom chat or quiz function. Some of those new methods or materials may have been more effective than expected, and maybe you want to keep using them. The good news is: it’s possible and FREE! Come join Hannah Zabriskie as she presents her method for a face-to-face “chat” function. This is a strategy that can be used for many purposes including collecting student feedback and performing anonymous live group review of written work. “Chatting” During Class is sponsored by the FACET Student Engagement Community of Practice and will be presented from 2-3pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. FACET Student Engagement Community of Practice meetings are open to all instructors interested in student engagement.  Meetings are held virtually. Zoom link will be provided. For information, contact Engagement Community of Practice Chair, Karla Kubitz (kkubitz@towson.edu).
