Sabbatical Presentation by Michael Angelella, Department of Electronic Media & Film

Michael Angelella, Professor in the Department of Electronic Media & Film, presents his sabbatical talk on Friday, October 28, 3:00pm on Zoom.  The title of his presentation is “SAVING DOC.”

Angelella spent his Spring 2022 sabbatical writing a feature screenplay called “SAVING DOC”, which is about an ex-Marine dog handler who goes on a mission to save a dog that has been kidnapped and taken into the world of dogfighting. Angelella will talk about developing the idea for his story, his writing process, and the two writing residencies that contributed to his ability to work on the script. He will read a sequence from the screenplay, which has just begun the process of making the rounds in the marketplace.

Professor Angelella’s sabbatical talk will be presented as part of COFAC’s Colloquium 52 (College of Fine Arts and Communication) on Friday, October 28, at 3:00pm on Zoom.
