The Towson University Honorary Degree Committee is soliciting names of potential candidates to receive an honorary degree at the Spring 2024 University Commencement. Please submit names that meet the following criteria through work in fine arts or communication:
- made exceptional contributions in intellectual, scholarly, or creative areas; or risen to a position of eminence in their chosen field or who have acquired a national or international reputation in a selected field or endeavor;
- risen to a position of eminence in their chosen field or who have acquired a national or international reputation in a selected field or endeavor; or
- compiled a record of distinguished public service.
Per the USM policy, III-3.00 – POLICY ON THE AWARDING OF HONORARY DEGREES, prospective recipients of honorary degrees shall exemplify the highest standards of personal and professional conduct, and shall have Nomination forms are available at: https://www.towson.edu/about/administration/president/awards/degree.html (https://www.towson.edu/about/administration/president/awards/degree.html). Nomination forms should be submitted via email by October 31, 2022 to Ms. Jasmine Nance as provost@towson.edu (mailto:provost@towson.edu).
