Stratus Navigation & Live Training Orientation

When Stratus launches July 11, it will modernize, standardize and simplify TU business processes. All employees will be able to enter purchase requisitions and travel authorizations, while existing PeopleSoft users will have expanded self-service capabilities. Get familiar with the Stratus project and complete Stratus training now for modules you expect to use after launch.

Getting Started in Stratus

Stratus organizes modules along a ribbon at the top of the page and a drop-down menu in the top left corner. You can search for tasks and bookmark favorite locations, or track outstanding tasks using bell notifications and the customizable watchlist. Here’s what to do to get started:

  • Watch the general navigation video to learn the basics;
  • Then access additional training materials on the Stratus navigation and any other modules you might use;
  • Finally, practice navigating the system in our training environment. Use the “Company Single Sign-On” button to log in with your TU username and password.
  • Need extra help getting started? Sign up for a Stratus training orientation to walk through the resources available to you. You can register for Monday, June 13 from 2 – 3 p.m. or register for Tuesday, June 14 from 9 – 10 a.m.

See Who You’re Working With

Every cost center has two distinct roles that support Stratus workflows. The cost center manager (CCM) performs daily tasks such as entering and approving transactions. The financial steward (FS) provides fiscal accountability for all transactions and serves as an additional approver. The approval workflow is visible in the system, making it easy to know who you’re working with.

Manage Delegates

You can add a delegate to prepare and submit travel, reimbursement and ProCard expenses on your behalf. Expenses submitted by your delegate will route to you for review and approval before entering the typical workflow.

Set criteria to delegate/reassign tasks when out of office. You’ll enter the applicable dates and select the person acting on your behalf. Your selections will apply to all Stratus modules.

Tips & Tricks

Since Stratus training takes place in a training environment, you may see some features that will not be available to you when the system goes live July 11. The training environment may also have different data than you’d expect to see in production. When the system goes live it will contain actual data, and your view will be tailored to your role. At that point you may not see modules or features you won’t need to use.

Set yourself up for success by using a compatible browser. Stratus works best with Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Learn More

Access training materials and FAQ for all modules on the Stratus Training webpage. If you need assistance after completing training, sign up for an optional one-on-one session with a Stratus expert during office hours.

For more information about the project, visit the Stratus website or email the project team.
