FYE Leader applications due at MIDNIGHT on SUNDAY!

First Year Experience (FYE) Leader Position– applications now available!

New Student and Family Programs and Academic Advising are seeking First Year Experience (FYE) Leaders for Welcome to TU! FYE Leaders will assist first year students through their Welcome to TU process from August 22nd– 28th with an opportunity to gain more hours helping with events through September 9th, 2022.

FYE Leaders share their TU experiences with incoming students, lead icebreaker activities, and assist in teaching students how to navigate PeopleSoft and Blackboard, take attendance at all mandatory sessions, talk about their Strengths, and debrief the mandatory content in a small group session. Training will be provided to ensure that FYE Leaders are more than ready to engage with students around these topics and to manage a small group of students.

FYE Leaders will be paid for their time at a rate of $15 per hour for approximately 30 hours. FYE Leaders will also receive TU apparel to wear throughout Welcome to TU!

FYE Leaders must be an undergraduate student, currently be enrolled in classes, be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the university, and must be available for training on Monday, August 22nd, and Tuesday August 23rd, as well as throughout Welcome to TU from Wednesday, August 24th – Sunday, August 28th.

Due to the limited duration of this position, FYE Leaders cannot be Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, or any other paid position that will directly conflict with Welcome to TU.
