This week: Information Security Awareness Training

Full-time TU faculty and staff will be receiving an Information Security Awareness Training email from the Office of Information Security (OIS) within the Office of Technology Services (OTS).

What to expect

  • When: email delivery starts Feb. 22.
  • Who: Full-time TU faculty and staff are expected to complete the training, which should take less than 30 minutes.
  • How: the email will be sent from securityawareness@towson.edu  to TU email accounts. The subject is “Required Information Security Awareness Training.” KnowBe4 is the online platform used by TU’s Office of Information Security to present the training.

Why is the training used?
There has been a significant increase in phishing attempts against the campus. Information Security Awareness Training is designed to educate you on how to protect yourself, your family and the university from malicious or unlawful use of our resources by external sources, like cybercriminals.

Questions?
If you have questions or technical issues such as logging in or completing the activities, please submit a TechHelp service request.
