Winter Break 2021 – Contingent II Non-exempt Staff

Towson University will be closed for winter break from December 24, 2021, through December 31, 2021.  Holidays will pre-populate on the timesheet for December 24 and 31, 2021.

Staff in departments that observe non-traditional work hours and schedules, or which perform essential functions, should discuss coverage with their supervisors.

Below is helpful information to assist you with completing your timesheet and a sample timesheet to use as a guide for the winter break.

  • You must be in an active, paid status to earn any of the holidays below.
  • If you perform work on a particular day, record the leave code REG and the hours for the day. If you use other leave during this time, record it on the timesheet.
  • Holiday hours will be pre-populated on the timesheet. If an employee does not normally work on a day in which a holiday falls, the employee will need to remove the hours from that day and leave the day blank.
  • Holiday hours are pro-rated based on an employee’s FTE.
  • Days that are not designated holidays, December 27 – 30, 2021, and on which no work is performed, accrued annual leave (ALCTU) or remaining accrued holiday leave (HLCTU) may be used. If the employee does not have accrued annual leave, the day should be left blank.
Timesheets for the pay period ending December 31, 2021. Please complete and approve your timesheet before leaving on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

**Accrued annual leave (ALCTU) or remaining accrued holiday leave (HLCTU) may be used on 12/27/21, 12/28/21, 12/29/21 and 12/30/21. If the employee does not have accrued annual (ALCTU) or holiday leave (HLCTU), the day should be left blank. If leave is not available to cover these days, the time will be unpaid.

If you have questions about completing your timesheet, please email finservehelp@towson.edu.  If you have questions about your leave, please email leavebenefits@towson.edu.
