Professor Nora Sturges of the Department of Art+Design, Art History and Art Education will discuss her sabbatical project, a series of paintings that explores medieval artworks as pathways to abstraction and world building. In addition, her presentation will cover a second body of work, begun recently and prompted by the pandemic, The View from the Road: Darwin’s Voyage Re-experienced through Google Street View.
