Getting Students to Engage with Written Feedback

Getting Students to Engage with Written Feedback

Thursday, November 11, 2021. 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. CK 404B and Online via Zoom

Feedback is often one-sided: instructors provide written comments on student work – comments students may or may not read.  In this session, participants will learn about formative feedback strategies that engage students in reflecting upon and responding to written feedback to improve the students’ knowledge, skills, and understanding.

Participants will learn about characteristics of high-quality written feedback, how to provide feedback on Blackboard, and ways to engage students with feedback so it is an active part of the student’s learning process. Lunch will be served to in-person attendees.

Kristin Frank, FACET Fellow for Teaching

Register in-person or online via Zoom.
