Changes coming to TU NetID and Duo Management

Starting on March 15, TU students, faculty, staff, and retirees will be able to request and manage NetID and Duo account information through a new, modern, and easier-to-use system. All information and access links will still be available at towson.edu/netid, but once logged in you’ll see an updated look and feel. The updated NetID Management system is part of a university-wide initiative to improve TU’s digital experience. With the new system you’ll be able to:

  • Change your password less frequently. Faculty and staff will only need to change passwords every 6 months, and students once per year. Passphrases are recommended.
  • Manage your info in one place. NetID passwords, Duo info, and Guest NetIDs will continue to be managed through the NetID Management webpage. Ctrl+Alt+Delete won’t be an option for changing passwords.
  • Reset your security info easily and securely. You can now use a one-time passcode sent to an email or mobile phone.
  • Start new employees with an easier process. They’ll activate their NetID account here as part of onboarding.
  • Navigate easier, from any deviceThe system is mobilefriendly and easier to use.

On or after March 15, all TU students, faculty, and staff need to log into the new system to set security questions and update their recovery information so if a password is forgotten or expired, reset info can be sent. Stay tuned for details closer to launch.
