Google Chrome update coming on September 30: repin icon in your taskbar

Google has made changes to Chrome. On September 30, when TU pushes the Chrome update to university-owned computers, the icon in the taskbar will break and be replaced with a blank white file. It will look like this:

If you have Chrome in a taskbar on a university-owned device, on September 30 you’ll need to unpin the original icon and re-pin it. Here’s how:

  1. Unpin: right-click on the blank white file icon where Chrome was (see above)>select “unpin.”
  2. Re-pin: Start menu>Google Chrome>right-click>select “pin to taskbar.”
