What a year Tigers! We’re still roaring! As the TU community of students, faculty and staff head back to campus, either in a hybrid schedule or regular schedule, Parking & Transportation Services (PTS) wants you to be prepared.  There are a few things you should know about parking on campus for the fall 2020 academic term.   

• The PTS lobby is closed to the public for the fall term but will still be able to provide service via web chat, email, virtual appointments and phone. (Voicemail will be returned within two business days). Please visit towson.edu/parking for more information. 
• All physical forms have been transitioned to online forms for convenience in accordance with the Tigers Care health initiative, social distancing and sustainability. 

• For this academic year, only term permits will be sold.  Annual permits will not be available. 
• Faculty, staff, commuter students and visitors will receive a 50% discount, while resident students will receive a 20% discount for fall 2020 term parking rates.  
• PTS will offer daily permits for fall 2020, beginning Monday, Aug. 24.  
• In an effort to give options to those with hybrid schedules, daily permits will allow students, faculty and staff to park in their designated spaces. Daily permits will be at 50% the regular visitor rate.  For more details see our Daily Permit Info and Instruction guide for fall 2020.
• Spring 2021 rates are still to be determined and will be posted around November 2020. 

• Look for the new colorful parking signage in all garages and parking lots across TU’s campus. The university’s Wayfinding Committee has implemented the installation of the new signs for more convenience and ease in identifying where to park. To view examples of the signs that have been installed, go to the Parking & Transportation Services website. 
• Parking surface lots have also been renumbered. For a list of all the new numbers, go to towson.edu/parking. 

• The former Resident Lot 7 in Towsontown Garage and Resident Lot 26 (now Lot 11) near Glen Towers have been converted to “Core” commuter spaces until further notice. This has been done in order to accommodate a potentially higher demand for commuters during the pandemic. 
• Resident Parking will only be located at 10 West and West Village Garage for the fall term. If necessary, additional resident parking will be added in the West Village Garage as needed.  With the exception of 10 West residents and Aspen residents who have a contract through TU HRL, all residents will be assigned parking in the West Village Garage. 
• In an effort to support the Tigers Care health initiative and assist CFA classes and programming, the ground level of West Village Garage will be closed to parking for the fall 2020 term. Visitor parking will continue to be available in the overflow areas.  

As a reminder, for the safety of the campus community and shuttle passengers, bus slips will be strictly enforced — only buses are permitted in slips. All other vehicles parked or stopped in bus slips, including TU vehicles may be cited and/or towed.   

Convenient areas for immediate pick-up and drop-off of passengers (Pick-Up/Drop-Off Zones) are located next to West Village Garage and on the access road across from the Health Center and next to the CLA field. Drivers must remain with the vehicle in these areas.  There are also free 5 minute and 20-minute parking spaces around campus.  Please consult a campus map for more details.
