Title IX training through Safe Colleges is available for staff
All TU staff should have received an email from SafeColleges, which asks recipients to complete an on-line Title IX training. This is a legitimate request for a required training for all university employees. Faculty will be contacted after the semester ends to complete their training.
Our goal with this training is to ensure that our campus community is aware of reporting options and prevention strategies as it pertains to sexual violence and harassment on our campus. With your help, we CAN and WILL be the highest compliance rated university in the state of Maryland. Completing this training will ensure TU is in compliance with Federal laws and guidance from the Department of Education, in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S.C.A. §1681.
The deadline for staff to complete this training is May 30th, 2020. Any questions about the email or the training can be directed to Jill Rice at jrice@towson.edu.
