Interested in trying out team-based learning?  Using a fun topic, hot peppers, this workshop will provide an experiential introduction to the teaching strategy, team-based learning.  Team-based learning, an increasingly popular approach to ‘flipping’ the classroom, includes four essential elements, including large teams, accountability, complex decisions, and frequent/ timely feedback.  Team-based learning also moves through two phases, including the Readiness Assurance Process and the Application Exercises Process.  Upon completion of this workshop, attendees will be able to choose the best way to neutralize the action of hot peppers AND be able to describe the essential elements of team-based learning, the stages of the Readiness Assurance Process, and the 4Ss involved in designing effective Team Application Exercises.

What is Team-Based Learning?
