Tuition Remission: Submitting and Approving 2020 tuition remission forms. See what is new.

The USM has a new online system for Tuition Remission submissions that went live on Monday, November 4, 2019.  All tuition remission forms for 2020 classes will be processed through the new online system.  Emailed or paper forms will no longer be accepted for most USM schools (see exceptions below).

Fast Facts:

  • Faculty and staff login to the Tuition Remission system using their TU Net ID and password.
  • Employees applying for a dependent child/spouse will need the student’s university-issued ID to submit an application in the system.
  • Supervisor’s approval will be required for TU employees whose classes conflict with work schedules, or for graduate classes that qualify as “working condition fringe benefit”.
  • Supervisors will receive a system generated email with log-in instructions when their approval is required for a submitted application.
  • Retirees and those applying for tuition remission at Morgan State University, Baltimore City Community College, or St. Mary’s College of Maryland will continue to submit the current form to HR via secure file drop, or by dropping off at the HR Office.  No other paper forms will be accepted.

Additional information is available on the Tuition Remission website.
