October 4 – 11 is Campus Sustainability Week.  Join us throughout the week to celebrate the many dimensions of sustainability and to learn how you can get involved.

Paint Yourself Blue

Paint Yourself Blue addresses our complex relationship with water and how we incorporate it into our everyday lives.  Sponsored by SGA.

DeStress Fest – S’more Relaxation

4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

DeStress Fest – S’More Relaxation will take place in the great outdoors aka Glen Woods. Chocolate+Marshmallows+Nature = The opposite of stress! Come hang by the campfire to enjoy a break from classes.  Sponsored by Campus Rec.

Food Waste Awareness Day

Food Awareness Day addresses the food waste issue worldwide. Learn about how our consumption habits effect the planet.  Sponsored by Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility.

Film Screening: “The Biggest Little Farm”

“The Biggest Little Farm” chronicles the eight-year quest of John and Molly Chester as they trade city living for 200 acres of barren farmland and a dream to harvest in harmony with nature.  Sponsored by the College of Health Professions.

Transportation Fair

The Transportation Fair will exhibit alternative modes of transportation you can use to get to school, work and beyond. Learn about reducing your transportation footprint during this tabling event.  Sponsored by Parking and Transportation.

Pollinator Garden Tour and Garden Care Activity

Noon – 2 p.m.

Join us to learn about how vital green spaces contribute to our ecosystem, the native plants of Maryland, and how to manage a pollinator garden of your own.  Sponsored by Landscape Services.

Tree Planting
The Glen, near the Smith Hall Entrance
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Help Mother Earth by planting trees, shrubs and ground cover in The Glen.  Sponsored by The Glen Arboretum.
