International Education Week 2019

The Office of International Initiatives is pleased to call for proposals from students, faculty and staff for International Education Week (IEW) 2019. This joint initiative from the US Departments of Education and State highlights new and continuing international activities on campus. It will take place from November 18 to 22, 2019.

In past years, Towson University has welcomed internationally focused diplomats, journalists, musicians and more. Departments and student organizations have held panel discussions, screened films, and hosted global sporting events. IEW programs can be small in scale or invite large audiences. The key component is broad support from campus partners.

This year’s signature event on November 21, as part of the Distinguished Global Speaker Series, will feature dynamic filmmaker Laura Bustillos Jáquez. She will share her experiences capturing stories from the United States-Mexico border region.

We would love you to participate by proposing a program/event. Your unit may already have an internationally-minded program planned for this time frame. We would be happy to help you promote it by including it in the schedule.
