Fulbright Germany Award Opportunities 2020-2021

Germany boasts an excellent higher education system as well as a vital research ecosystem and infrastructure that offers an ideal environment for international student and researchers. For 2020-2021, Fulbright Germany welcomes applications from U.S. students and scholars from all disciplines.

The University of Oldenburg, TU’s longest standing international partner institution, encourages promising TU students and scholars to apply for a Fulbright to Germany, preferably in Oldenburg.

Germany Award Opportunities:
Study/Research Awards (students)
8 – 10 months grants for Bachelor graduates and Master students who wish to pursue nondegree or Master studies at a German university, or conduct research at a German university/research institution.
6 – 10 months for Ph.D. students pursuing research directly related to their doctoral dissertation at a German university, research institution, or archive.
Application Deadline: October 8, 2019.

Research/Lecture Awards (scholars)

2 – 4 months grants for all levels of scholars, including early career for teaching, research, or a project combining both activities at a German university, research institution, or archive.
Flexible awards: They are offered for all levels of scholars for teaching, teaching/research, and research. Designed for scholars who require multiple visits to Germany, this award option allows grants to be conducted over two segments. The total grant length (over two segments) must be from 2 to 4 months. The two grant segments may be spread over one or two consecutive years.
Application Deadline: September 16, 2019.
