Extended downtime for OTS’ maintenance window

The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is performing application and computing system shutdowns on the University Union datacenter this weekend due to a scheduled power outage required for the Union expansion project.

These services will be offline beginning Saturday, March 16 at 10 p.m., until 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17:

  • ImageNow
  • Virtual Workspace (VW)

These services will be offline beginning Sunday, March 17, from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m.:

  • RMS (Housing)
  • Pinnacle (Phone Billing)
  • Alumni Development applications
  • Point-n-Click
  • Jumboshare
  • Secureshare

These services will NOT be offline at any point during the maintenance:

  • Email and Office 365
  • Phones and voicemail
  • Blackboard
  • Timesheets
  • PeopleSoft/Towson Online Services/Campus Solutions
  • PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • PeopleSoft Financials
  • MyTU Faculty/Staff Portal
  • MyTU Mobile
  • Public Safety TUPD applications

Due to the nature of the maintenance, many other applications could be unavailable, experience intermittent connectivity issues, and/or slower-than-normal performance during the maintenance window. When maintenance is complete, a post will be made to the OTS Alerts website, http://alerts.towson.edu and twitter @OTSAlerts.

As a reminder, the Office of Technology Services’ maintenance window is every Sunday from 6 a.m. until noon. Faculty and users are advised to keep this maintenance window in mind when planning events, assignments and deadlines.
