Extended downtime for OTS’ maintenance window
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is performing application and computing system shutdowns on the University Union datacenter this weekend due to a scheduled power outage required for the Union expansion project.
These services will be offline beginning Saturday, March 16 at 10 p.m., until 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 17:
- ImageNow
- Virtual Workspace (VW)
These services will be offline beginning Sunday, March 17, from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m.:
- RMS (Housing)
- Pinnacle (Phone Billing)
- Alumni Development applications
- Point-n-Click
- Jumboshare
- Secureshare
These services will NOT be offline at any point during the maintenance:
- Email and Office 365
- Phones and voicemail
- Blackboard
- Timesheets
- PeopleSoft/Towson Online Services/Campus Solutions
- PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
- PeopleSoft Financials
- MyTU Faculty/Staff Portal
- MyTU Mobile
- Public Safety TUPD applications
Due to the nature of the maintenance, many other applications could be unavailable, experience intermittent connectivity issues, and/or slower-than-normal performance during the maintenance window. When maintenance is complete, a post will be made to the OTS Alerts website, http://alerts.towson.edu and twitter @OTSAlerts.
As a reminder, the Office of Technology Services’ maintenance window is every Sunday from 6 a.m. until noon. Faculty and users are advised to keep this maintenance window in mind when planning events, assignments and deadlines.
