Dr. Candice Aston, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology

Wednesday, February 20, 12:00pm, College of Liberal Arts, room 3150

The research presented will focus on a recent study that was conducted to understand school psychologists’ views regarding the usefulness of cognitive tests with African American students. Furthermore, this study examined how current school psychologists incorporate culturally fair assessment and account for cultural bias. Attendees will be provided with a thorough understanding of the current trends and barriers to consider when assessing African American students.
