Brand Change Information for Departments

TU’s brand update is a yearlong transition expected to last through the end of 2019. Divisions, departments and other university units will be able to access the university’s new brand mark and brand assets on or about January 16, 2019.  A new TU brand website will be launched featuring detailed information about brand messages, visual guidelines and more.

Until then, here is some helpful transition information for departments and teams:

  • Access to the brand mark will not occur before January 16. While you’ll start to see the new visual identity on university channels, updates to departmental materials, emails, social media accounts and other assets are not meant to happen before this date.
  • There’s no rush, honestly. Once January 16 does arrive, the expectation is that the transition will be a process. Changes to your team’s branded items are not expected to happen overnight, nor should they. Take the time you need to update materials. You’ll have the entire year to make all the necessary changes.
  • More detailed information arrives soon. Along with a new brand website, there will be brand tools, brand checklists, workshops and ongoing communications to inform and prepare your team throughout the transition.
