Community conversation & engagement opportunity
The Office of Civic Engagement and Social Responsibility has two upcoming opportunities for the campus to engage with the community and learn about creating change:
Community Conversation
All members of the campus community are invited to attend An Advocate’s Toolkit: A TU Community Conversation to learn about creating change and using your voice for the people and issues you care about. Attendees will hear from changemakers in political, cultural, and institutional spaces, engage in conversation with their peers, and identify steps in their own advocacy journey.

- Location: University Union Ballrooms A-C.
- Accessibility notes: Located center of campus, requires check in using phone, includes music, includes spoken instruction, includes written/visual instruction, expect small crowd (200 or less) indoor, seating is at tables, includes food and beverages.
Community Engagement Opportunity
Looking for a short-term volunteer opportunity for yourself or your student organization? Sign up for a peer-led community visit from 2-5 p.m. on December 3. Participants will work with Langston Hughes Community, Business, and Resource Center. Transportation is included. Spots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
