USM BOR Faculty Awards Call for Nominations AY 2025-2026
The call for nominations for the USM BOR Faculty Awards AY 2025-2026 is now open.
Each spring the regents recognize faculty members’ distinguished performance in five categories. These awards marking excellence are the highest honor presented by the BOR to exemplary faculty members within the University System of Maryland.
- Teaching
- Scholarship or Research
- Creative Activity
- Public Service
- Mentoring

Application Process:
The first five pages of the application are due to jnance@towson.edu by end of day September 29, 2025:
- summary resume
- a one-page essay from the nominee describing how he or she has contributed to excellence in the category of the nomination
- a letter of recommendation from the department chairperson or dean
- brief documentation of exemplary achievement summarizing the materials listed for the category
The TU Selection Committee meets October 3, 2025 and applicants selected to move forward will be notified by end of day on October 6, 2025.
The final 20-page application is due to the USM November 14, 2025.
All faculty who are interested in applying please consult with your college dean. The deans should submit the applications to ensure that they endorse the nomination.
