Department of Chemistry is now the Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science
On July 1, the Department of Chemistry name officially changed to the Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science. This name change reflects the enrollment growth and national recognition of the forensic science degree programs at TU, including the BS in Forensic Chemistry and the MS in Forensic Science, both of which are accredited by the Forensic Science Education Programs Accreditation Commission (FEPAC). TU is among a select group of institutions in the United States with FEPAC accredited degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department of Chemistry & Forensic Science also offers a BS in Chemistry, with American Chemical Society certification for students pursuing the Professional Track, and a Secondary Education Concentration to prepare students to teach chemistry in grades 7 – 12.
