Parking and Transportation Shuttle and Ride Updates
As Tigers gear up for the fall semester, Parking & Transportation Services would like to share important updates about TU’s shuttle and transportation services for the 2025–2026 academic year.
TU Shuttles
Modified Shuttles
- A modified shuttle service is available during summer, winter, and spring breaks. During the summer months, On-campus shuttle services will be unavailable. From late May to late August annually, no Gold Route, West Village—Core campus, or SafeRide services are available.
- BWI/Penn Station Shuttle operates during Thanksgiving, Winter Break, and Spring Break.
- Faculty and Staff can receive complimentary shuttle service during pre-scheduled dates during summer, winter, and spring to obtain a state MTA pass.
Fall 25’ Shuttle Launch Dates
- Gold Route (on-campus only) begins service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 23. This route includes stops at the Stadium, Core, and West Village areas and will run daily.
- All other on- and off-campus routes resume regular service at 6:30 a.m. on Monday, August 25.
Stay tuned to TU Today announcements for updates. Shuttle schedules are typically posted one month in advance of break periods.
SafeRide & SafeWalk
- Safe ride begins Saturday, August 23, from 2:00 am to 7:00 am, 7 days a week, except for holidays and when school closes. To request a ride, call 410-704-SAFE.
- SafeRide is available daily during the semester from 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., offering on-demand rides across all campus locations.
- SafeWalk escorts are available at any time for individuals who feel uncomfortable walking alone on campus.
To request a ride or escort:

- Or flag down a SafeRide vehicle while on campus.
Paratransit Services
Paratransit transportation is available for students, faculty, staff, and visitors with permanent or temporary mobility needs.
- Fall Service Begins: Monday, August 25
- Service Hours: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday through Friday

Institute for Well-Being (IWB)
For transportation to the IWB at 7400 York Road, riders can use:
- The Lake-Walker Shuttle Route
- Baltimore County’s “The Loop” Shuttle
- TU’s Paratransit service (for eligible riders)
