As part of the summer construction projects led by the Facilities Management teams, several changes will be made around CHP, Newell Hall, and Stephens Avenue.

What you should know:

  • The main construction work will happen near Newell Dining.
  • The work in this area will be done in phases, with the first two phases taking place on the north and east sides of the HP Building from May 27 to July 19.
  1. Phase 1C – Storm Drain Installation:
  • From July 7 to July 19, Newell Avenue will be closed for the installation of a new storm drain. During this time, a temporary crushed stone road will be in place.
  1. Phase 2 – Changes to Towson Way:
  • The one-way road west of the HP Building will be converted into a two-way road. This will allow emergency access and improve deliveries to Newell Dining, the Power Plant, and Cook Library.

There will be signs to notify the campus community in advance of the construction work. Thank you all for your support and patience.
