New look for Microsoft 365 homepage

Microsoft has updated the look of their homepage, which now features Microsoft Copilot Chat by default. This update is directly from Microsoft and isn’t controlled by the university or the Office of Technology Services. All of your existing apps and files are still accessible.

What to expect

When logging into m365.towson.edu or office.towson.edu, you’ll see a greeting from Copilot Chat and an updated left navigation pane. Use this AI-powered productivity hub to access prompts, search, chat history and apps.

Tips

  • To see your Microsoft applications like Word, Excel etc., click the Apps icon on the left side. You can pin frequently used apps to the left side navigation by clicking the three dots next to each app and selecting Pin.  You can still directly log into One Drive through onedrive.towson.edu and Outlook through outlook.towson.edu.
  • Find recommended and quick access files using the Search feature.
  • Use Copilot Chat to help streamline daily tasks like creating agendas, summarizing documents and drafting emails. Not sure where to start? Try these prompts provided by Microsoft.
  • Be familiar with the university’s generative AI guidance for faculty, staff and students.
