FACET Workshops: developing grant proposals, accessible course design

Developing Grant Proposals Workshop
July to September 2025

Faculty who are developing grant proposals are invited to attend a series of workshops to fine-tune their project idea, develop a team, identify appropriate funding sources, and develop a competitive proposal. The series will run from July to September 2025 and will include peer mentoring as well as focused programming on grant planning, writing and submission. Sessions are primarily online, though there will be an in-person session at the beginning and ending of the series. At the end of the period, faculty will be expected to have draft grant narrative that is ready to submit for internal/external funding.

Faculty may participate whether their projects are in an early stage of development or be further along. Projects can be both interdisciplinary or within a particular discipline. Projects that already have a team already in place should have one member or the lead investigator (where appropriate) apply. Apply for the series by 5 p.m. May 31.

Accessible Asynchronous Course Design
May 28 to August 15

The Course Design with Digital Accessibility in Mind asynchronous workshop offers faculty an opportunity to transform the way they approach digital accessibility and inclusive course design. The self-paced workshop will help faculty gain practical tools for creating accessible course materials. Participants will learn how to design with intention and will get access to a community of educators as well as expert-designed resources as well as real-world examples. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate for their teaching portfolio. Register now for the workshop, which runs from May 28 to August 15.
