Faculty/Staff: Microsoft files containing confidential information to display sensitivity labels starting this week

Starting April 30, Microsoft files containing sensitive information will be labeled with “confidential.” This helps to better secure TU data and prevents sharing of sensitive info like credit card or social security numbers through OneDrive, SharePoint and Outlook.

What to Expect
A “confidential” label will appear on Microsoft files containing sensitive information. See an example and more details in the knowledge base article (NetID login required).

If you believe a file is mislabeled or is being incorrectly blocked, see the KBA (login required) for options. Questions? Submit a TechHelp service request.
