Digital Accessibility Retreat- Don’t Leave Digital Accessibility to Luck: Small Changes, Big Impact

Black cat with Friday 13th above it.

When:  Friday, June 13, 2025
Time:  10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where:  Cook Library Room 404B

Friday the 13th may be unlucky—but your students shouldn’t be! Join us for a practical and engaging session that shows how accessible course design helps all students thrive. We’ll focus on real strategies that remove learning barriers and support student success.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Why accessibility benefits everyone, not just students with accommodations
  • Common course accessibility issues
  • Easy fixes for documents, videos, and LMS pages
  • Preparations you can take now to ensure your content is accessible for all students from the start of the term

Following our interactive session, faculty will be provided lunch and dedicated time to work on their fall courses and apply accessibility strategies with support on hand.

Accessibility doesn’t have to be scary, and it definitely shouldn’t be left to chance. Walk away with practical tips, a usable checklist, and ideas you can apply right away—plus maybe a lucky charm or two 😉
