Sabbatical Presentation by Kwangmi K. Kim, Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, College of Fine Arts and Communication
Kwangmi K. Kim, Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, presents her sabbatical talk entitled Sports Betting Advertising in the U.S.: Uncovering Sentiments and Topics from YouTube Comments on Friday, April 25 via Zoom.
Professor Kim spent her sabbatical researching sports betting practices and promotions in the U.S., a relatively young industry compared to the U.K. or Australia. Using a hybrid approach that combined automated BERT sentiment analysis with human-coded content analysis, she examined overall sentiment on the topic and identified key themes discussed by YouTube users.
This presentation will be offered as part of COFAC Colloquium 71 via Zoom.
